The opposition will take to the streets on a massive march called 'Bunvaru' on Friday next.
At a press conference held by PPM-PNC at the opposition coalition office on Monday, the coalition shared information about the 'Hope Conference' to be held at Dharubaaruge during the march and the weekend.
Speaking at the press conference, PNC Vice President Ibrahim Shujau, who represents Hulhumale constituency in Male City Council, said that two important events will be held during the Hope Conference, which begins on Thursday afternoon. They are:

'Bunvaru' march beginning at 3.30 pm on Friday

Event at Artificial Beach to conclude 'Hope Conference' on Saturday night
Shujau said the police have now given permission to hold Friday's march on Majeedhee Magu. The march, which started in front of the party office, was planned to end at artificial beach.
The Hope Conference is being held to mark the beginning of the process of winning the presidential election for jailed former president and opposition presidential candidate Abdulla Yameen. All the elected members of PPM-PNC are expected to participate in the event. These include:

Members of both the parties

Councillors
-
Senators
-
Constituency presidents and vice-presidents

Presidents of women's branches and youth branches

Presidents of steering committees

Female and male members from steering committees
Around 1,200 participants are expected to participate in the conference, which will be divided into different sessions, the alliance said yesterday.
