2 arrested for obstructing pres motorcade released
A total of five persons were arrested in the case. At present, three people are still in custody.

Two of those arrested on Monday for obstructing President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's motorcade have been released by the court on Sunday.
Two of the four arrested on Monday night were remanded in police custody for five days. When they were produced before the Criminal Court on Sunday, the court ordered their release.
The two who were released are:

Ahmed Sinan, 36, Astonvilla/GA. Dhevvadhoo

Mariam Marsha 39, Shady Corner/Sh. Bilaifehi
Both are accused of:

Committing act that violates social order

Obstructing law enforcement personnel

Obstructing the administration of the law
The court's order cited as the reasons for ordering their release from custody:

Snapshots submitted by the police show the nature of the incident and reduce the chances of recurrence of the offence

If it is decided to release them on conditions, the threat to the safety of the community can be minimised

The Criminal Procedure Code does not warrant further detention
Judge Mohammad Misbah ordered the conditional release of both the accused.
