FIFA chief shocked over football fields in small islands: Mahloof
Mahloof said Infantino was "shocked" when he shared the story with the FIFA president.

Youth minister Ahmed Mahloof said on Wednesday that FIFA President Gianni Infantino was in a state of shock because the government is building football fields in islands with small populations.
Mahloof made the remarks while replying to a question raised by Faresmathoda MP Hussain Mohamed Latheef during Wednesday’s parliament sitting. Hussain asked a question about the government's initiatives for the betterment of football.
Responding to the question, Mahloof said that his government is playing a big role in the development of football in the country. For example, he took the number of football fields being built in the country.
"We will open our 50th football ground this year," he said.
Mahloof said Infantino was "shocked" when he shared the story with the FIFA president.
"infantino was shocked when I told him about the way we are building football fields for the people. Why wouldn't he? in such a small country, we have made fields for even 300 people," he said.
