Pres launches policy to develop 'healthy, prosperous generation'

Ruling MDP presidential candidate, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, has launched his 'Ufaaveri Dhiriulhun' policy on Monday evening, in a bid to develop a healthy, productive and prosperous society.
For the presidential election campaign, the president is currently in Dh. Kudahuvadhoo with his coalition partner. The first part of the MDP manifesto was launched at a rally held in the island on Monday night. The section was inaugurated by the President.
The MDP's 'Ufaaveri Dhiriulhun' policy for the upcoming presidential election will be presented by Dr Aishath Shafeena.
In her presentation at the event, Shafeena said the policy is divided into three parts:

Confidence in quality-assured healthcare: Establishment of regional medical warehouses; provision of medicines and facilities and urgent care by road, sea and air; introduction of cycle paramedics, as well as expansion of insurance available for infertility cases

Breathable housing: Establish a special bank to finance housing; provide loans at an interest rate not exceeding 6% and equity at 10%

Beautiful Islamic Life: Through Islamic investment products; reducing the cost of going to Hajj and teaching children-friendly parts of Islamic subjects; as well as providing opportunities to study the subject in English

A proud Dhivehi citizen: Introducing the National Library's digital library service throughout the country

Community Participation, Empowerment and Social Security: Ensuring there is a social worker for every 1,000 people
Productive and prosperous generation

Tomorrow’s Man Today: Set a minimum standard for additional activities in schools and review the Top Ten rule to make all schools fully equipped for special assistance

Provide education and training programs for school leavers aged 16 to 18 who are not engaged in higher education and training and not engaged in gainful employment, along with starting up their own businesses, and activate them on the job portal

Quality Higher Education and Training: In addition to introducing student visas to encourage children from abroad to come to Maldives to study and abolishing the bond law, make Maldives a popular research destination in the field of ocean-based science

Forward Sports, Forward Players: Establish regional sports centers in different parts of Maldives, establish a system to train abroad, provide opportunities to advance in sports, ensure international success and prepare for life after sports after the end of sports life
Involved compassionate people

Priority for senior citizens: Remove the barrier to certain jobs for people over a certain age and introduce jobs that will earn extra points for people over a certain age

Facilitation of women in empowerment: Increase the amount of child support, establish a co-parenting system, create mediators and strengthen the mediation system, as well as establish a system to provide special legal assistance to women

Children’s voice with holistic protection: Strengthen, facilitate and encourage the fostering of children in state care by providing access to non-compulsory vaccinations for children through Aasandha and providing opportunities for children to grow up in a family environment

Dignified Living through Meaningful Participation: Make government service facilities and any social service facilities accessible to people with various types of disabilities and implement an independent living program to teach them life skills
This is the first part of President Solih's manifesto. The manifesto still includes four other policies. The sections will be made public within the next two weeks.
