Maldives customs confiscated 4.7 kg of heroin from a Pakistani woman who arrived in Maldives from Pakistan by air.
The 20-year-old arrived in Maldives on Saturday, customs said in a statement on Thursday.

The contents of a packet found in the woman's luggage was tested positive for heroin, customs said.
Customs estimates street value of the drugs to be MVR 5.8 million.
The drugs seized in the case and the smuggler have now been handed over to the police, customs added.
