The Heritage Ministry has filed a complaint against the government fuel company for destroying documents without the permission of the National Archives. According to the ministry, according to the law, any government document can be destroyed only after notifying the agency.
Gasam said on X that a group of people on social media were indulging in widespread "cowardly acts" to incite people to doubt by saying that the documents were destroyed to cover up his wrongdoing. He denied it.
Gasam, who is also a former Member of Parliament said:
-
He has done everything for the company's development
-
He has not done anything to hide or gain undue advantage
"I am still on top of the good upbringing my parents gave me. I have always made sure that my wife wife, my children and I consume nothing but whatever I earn from Halal work," Gasam told his parents, family and friends, assuring that he was not doing any wrong.
The Anti-Corruption Commission has also brought the matter to the attention of the police as it is receiving complaints about the destruction of state documents during this early stage of the transition. The ACC has also called on the government not to do so, noting that it would hinder the investigations conducted by the commission.
