The People's National Congress (PNC) has been announced as the party representing the government in parliament.
At the beginning of Wednesday's sitting, speaker Mohamed Aslam announced that PNC will represent the government in parliament as President Mohamed Muizzu is from PNC.
Aslam said the party has informed that the leader of its parliamentary group is Felidhoo MP Fazul Rasheed.
The PNC currently has two MPs in parliament. They are Fazul and Thulusdhoo MP member Ibrahim Naseem.
In addition, there are two members of the PPM, which is run with the PNC:

Mahibadhoo MP Ahmed Thorig
Maduvvari MP Adam Shareef and Maavah MP Mohamed Saeed resigned from their seats on Friday to join the new government's cabinet.
