MVR 3.5m spent on president's first foreign visit
The President's Office had earlier said that the expenses of the President's trips will be announced within 15 days of the end of the trip.

A total of MVR 3.5 million has been spent on the expenses of President Mohamed Muizzu’s first foreign visits since taking office, namely his official visit to Turkey and his trip to Dubai for the COP28 climate summit, the President’s Office said on Thursday.
At a press conference held at the President's Office on Thursday, Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office, Mohamed Shaheeb, revealed the cost of the two trips, in their regular update of President Muizzu's 'Week 14' or first 100 days promises.

In addition, according to the information released by the President's Office, the accommodation, meals and internal transportation expenses of the Turkish President's delegation were arranged by the country. The UAE government arranged accommodation and meals for 10 people on the trip to Dubai.
