Police said the body is of a local man working at a resort in the atoll but did not say which.

Body of a man has been found dead at sea near Velassaru Resort in south Male atoll.

Police received a report of the incident at 9:11 am on Thursday.

Police said the body is of a local man working at a resort in the atoll. They said:

He was 35 years old
Police did not say which resort he worked at
Police said they are investigating the case further
