Dead baby found in Dhigurah garbage dump

A baby found dumped in the garbage area in ADh. Dhigurah on Sunday has been identified as a foreign woman’s newborn.
The woman is known to be working at a guesthouse in the island.
The baby was found abandoned in a garbage bag, thrown out after giving birth in Dhigurah. Police were called to the scene at 11:20 am on Sunday.
Atoll Times has learned that the expatriate has been arrested. However, the police has not yet revealed what country she is from.
According to information gathered by Atoll Times from a reliable top official who spoke from the island:

The child was found while the employees were cutting open garbage bags and sorting through it

The bags included garbage from the guesthouse where the woman worked

The garbage dump where the child was found is located away from the residential area. According to islanders, the garbage containing the child was taken to the dump sometime on Saturday night.
