The government has said a thorough investigation will be conducted into the incident.
Housing ministry on Monday announced that the clean-up work of M. Nirufehi, which was completely burned in a fire that broke out in the wee hours of 9 November, has been completed.
The public works department of the ministry started the work of cleaning and demolishing a large portion of the building that had caught fire and taken damage on 11 November.
The AMS garage on the ground floor of the labour quarter building was completely gutted, while a portion of the roof had collapsed on the second floor. All the bodies have been repatriated
A migrant man who was critically injured in the incident was on ventilator support at IGMH, but his condition has improved and he was shifted to the ward on Saturday night.
