Salaries of police officers have been increased from March, the service announced on Tuesday evening.
This was revealed in a post shared by Chief Superintendent Ahmed Shifan on his X profile after the amendment to the Police Employment Rules was made public on Tuesday.
Shifan said police salaries have been increased by 35% from this month.
He added:

The new salary structure includes basic salary, position allowance, job allowance and work-related allowance

This is the first time since 2009 that police salaries have been increased along with the basic salary

Previously, policemen were given eight types of allowances. With the amendment announced on Tuesday, the allowances have been reduced to three. Thus:
