Aneesa Ahmed has resigned from the five-member committee set up by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to advise the government on the allocation of land and flats under the Binnveriya and Gedhoruveriya Scheme.
Former minister Aneesa resigned due to personal reasons, from the committee set up to advise the government on submissions related to Binnveriya and Gedhoruveriya schemes.
Aneesa told Atoll Times on Tuesday that she resigned due to health reasons and could not give enough time to the committee.
She said she had only attended one meeting since the committee was formed and her conscience did not allow her to be on a committee that she could not give time to. She sent her resignation letter a few days ago, she said.
Aneesa is also the chair of the committee, which was formed on the 14th of this month.
