A total of 1,338 individuals have applied for government-issued student loans to pursue higher education in the Maldives and overseas, according to the Ministry of Higher Education.
The ministry has published the names of applicants and selected recipients on its official website. Of the total applicants, 806 students have met the eligibility criteria for the loan.
The loan scheme is open to both new and currently enrolled students. A provisional list of applicants has been released, and the ministry has opened a window for submitting complaints regarding the selection process.
The ministry stated that complaints may be submitted before 3 August. If a student’s status on the list changes, they will be notified via message. The list also includes the reason for non-selection for those who were not chosen.
