Housing Development Corporation (HDC) Chairman Ahmed Zuhoor has been sacked.
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced the dismissal of Zuhoor on Thursday in an X post.
According to PCB, Zuhoor has been removed from the post of Chairman of the HDC and Director of the Board of the HDC.
However, the PCB did not disclose the reason for his dismissal. There were no rumours that Zuhoor had any problems when he was sacked.
Zuhoor, who was appointed as the chairman of HDC in February, was a minister in former president Abdulla Yameen's government, as well as the managing director of STELCO and the Commissioner General of Customs.
Zuhoor was sacked right after MMPRC Managing Director Fathimath Thaufeeg (Kudi) was also sacked.
MMPRC Managing Director Fathimath Thaufeeg was sacked after rumours circulated that the company's management had been disrupted under her management.
The company's chairperson Aishath Noorain Janah resigned on Wednesday amid rumours of internal management problems.
