Ambassador of China to the Maldives, Wang Lixin, has assured the Government of China's support and cooperation to understand and provide what is most urgent for the Maldives.
The Chinese Ambassador gave this assurance during a courtesy call on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Wednesday.
The President's Office website said that the Ambassador inquired of what Maldives’ urgent needs are. The Ambassador expressed willingness to provide all possible assistance and cooperation to the Maldivian government.

The meeting also discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries to promote tourism in Maldives

During President Muizzu's visit to China, the leaders of the two countries discussed and exchanged views on what can be done to expedite the agreements made
During the meeting, the President and the Ambassador affirmed that they would work to strengthen relations between the two countries.
