Male traffic banned for 2 hours on Independence Day

Friday is Maldives' 59th Independence Day. A street march will be held on Independence Day, while the annual Independence Day field activities and vehicle tours will not be held this year.
Large, colourful events scheduled to be held in connection with Independence Day have been cancelled due to a challenging economic situation.
