A man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a foreign woman and robbing her of money.

Police sent a message to the media on Saturday morning saying they were investigating such a case.

The man arrested in the case, police said is a 29-year-old; Ali Shammah Waheed.

According to police:

The robbery occurred early Saturday morning
The victim works at a spa in Phase One of Hulhumale

Police did not say how much money was taken.
