Higher secondary school's Male building reopens
Male building has been reopened after parents' complaints.
Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has reopened its building in Male.
With the reopening of its Male building, CHSE will offer A-Level education in Male and Hulhumale.
CHSE moved to Hulhumale’ after 44 years of teaching in Male. After the closure of the CHSE building adjacent to Aminiya School, the students moved to a new building in Hulhumale a year ago.
The education ministry said the building has been reopened with changes. CHSE's Male building has been reopened after parents complained that a large number of students have to travel to Hulhumale.
"This school will be the highest quality, most comfortable and enjoyable learning environment in greater Male area," education minister Ismail Shafeeu said on facebook, along with photos of students entering CHSE.
He said with this change, the number of students travelling between Male and Hulhumale to study for A-Level will be reduced. He said the policy of providing closer education would be a great convenience for students and parents.
CHSE moved to Hulhumale due to space constraints. Hulhumale also provided spacious buildings and many other services for students.
