Police have noticed that a tailor-made application is being used to make invalid transfer slips to pay for goods.

The police have issued a statement on their official website on Sunday noting that the number of cases of using invalid bank transfer slips is increasing.

According to police, an investigation has revealed that the fraudulent transfer slips are made using a tailor-made application.

"In particular, restaurants and shops have noticed receiving such slips as payment after doing business," the police said.

To prevent such cases, police have requested:

  • Not make any financial transactions until you have confirmed that the money has been credited to your account

  • If you are a victim of such an incident, report it to the police immediately

  • Be more careful in online business transactions
