Fayaz Mansoor appointed HDC's deputy chief
The appointment comes as an investigation is underway into alleged irregularities in the allocation of land and flats in Hulhumale.
Fayaz Mansoor has been appointed as the Deputy Managing Director of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
An HDC official confirmed the appointment and stated that employees were informed on Sunday. Following the announcement, Fayaz held a meeting with the staff.
Fayaz has previously held the same position at HDC and is also a director at Gedor Consulting.
The appointment comes as an investigation is underway into alleged irregularities in the allocation of land and flats in Hulhumale.
The corporation’s Managing Director, Ibrahim Fazul Rashid, recently resigned after being suspended from his position. Mohamed Mauroof Jameel, a former Minister of Construction, has been appointed as the new Managing Director of HDC.
