State Trading Organisation (STO) has announced plans to construct a 15-storey multipurpose building on the land currently used as a medical warehouse, located in front of its headquarters in Male’.
STO Managing Director Shimad Ibrahim shared the information during the company’s annual general meeting held at Nasandhura Hotel on Saturday.
According to Shimad, the concept for the new building is expected to be completed within five months. The cost of the project has not yet been disclosed.
The project will replace an earlier plan to construct a 25-storey building on the same plot. The land area designated for the new development measures approximately 15,000 square feet.
Facilities planned for the new building include:

Training centre (including a classroom, lecture hall, and auditorium)

Multipurpose hall

The company stated that the building will be used to support its operations and business activities.
