Dredging work at Giraavaru Falhu resumed on Friday morning following a temporary halt.

The resumption of dredging was announced by President Mohamed Muizzu in a post on X earlier on Friday.

Dredging is being carried out using the trailing suction hopper dredger Orangeia, which has a capacity to hold up to 22,000 cubic metres of sand per load.
