President Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday sent nominations to the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) for the appointment of managing directors of 22 state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
PCB President Hamdi Ageel told Atoll Times that the screening and interview process is underway before approving the nominations. He said the PCB is looking to approve the appointments as soon as possible.
"We are looking to expedite the appointment process as soon as possible as the appointment of heads of companies has already been delayed," Hamdi said.
Although the PCB did not disclose the names of the appointees, a senior official in the President's Office confirmed the names.
