Former MD Mihad appointed IAS chairman

Mihad was appointed MD of Island Aviation in 2021.

Former Managing Director (MD) Mohammed Mihad has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Island Aviation Services (IAS), the national carrier.

Mihad was the company's MD until November 18.

He was previously the MD of the Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC). He had also been a board member of the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).

Mihad was appointed MD of Island Aviation in 2021. With the change of government, Ibrahim Iyas was appointed to the post on 28 November.
