The government fish company, MIFCO has upgraded and restarted service from Gdh. Gahdhoo ice plant.
The Gahdhoo ice plant will produce 50 tonnes of flakes ice per day.
Unlike other ice plants that produce flakes ice, the Gahdhoo plant can add ice to the ice bucket instead of extracting it itself. With that, fishermen will have easier access to ice.
