He made these remarks during a ceremony held Saturday morning at Dharubaaruge to commemorate the day the Maldives embraced Islam.
The president stressed the importance of conveying the facts of Maldivian history and the country's enduring independence in a manner that young people can easily grasp.
He added that Islamic values and Maldivian national identity must be woven into everyday life to fully achieve this goal.
The president highlighted the need to ensure that every young person, regardless of gender, is equipped to advocate for the nation and contribute to its development.
He underscored the importance of nurturing the moral and spiritual well-being of the younger generation.
In his address, the president outlined three key points: the representation of Muslims in Islam and the Quran, the presence of un-Islamic practices in contemporary Maldivian society, and how we should align our actions to reform these issues.
