The 13-year-old girl was taken to Hulhumale Hospital after suffering a medical condition at the school earlier in the morning, according to a statement released by the police.

The student was reported to be in critical condition when she was taken to the hospital, where she later passed away.

Police have stated that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
