The roofs of five houses in Addu were damaged by strong winds, though no injuries have been reported.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in coordination with the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and the Addu City Council, has extended assistance to the affected households in Maradhoo Feydhoo.

According to the NDMA, 13 people, including four children under the age of four, were residing in the affected homes. All residents have temporarily relocated to other family homes following the incident.

The affected properties include one house in Maradhoo, two in Feydhoo, and one each in Hulhudhoo and Maradhoo Feydhoo. The MNDF has supported efforts to rebuild the roofs of all five houses.

Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation and provide further assistance as needed.
