Criminal Court on Tuesday remanded the operator of a suspected drug distribution site and three others in custody following their arrest during a police raid in Maafannu ward of Male.
According to court orders, police recovered rubber packets of suspected drugs, burnt foils, and pipes from the suspects.
The individual alleged to be operating the establishment was identified as Mohamed Shiyah, 37, of Annaarumaage, Th. Thimarafushi. He has previous criminal and prison records and was remanded in custody for 30 days.
The court also ordered the remand of three other individuals for seven days. They were identified as:

Mohamed Shaugee Hussain, 60, of Nivaidhoshuge, GA. Kolamafushi

Mohamed Abdul Shakoor, 36, of Chanpaage, R. Dhuvaafaru
All three have prior criminal and arrest records.
