
4 households relocated over flooding, sewage leakage
Authorities continue to monitor the situation and provide necessary assistance to affected communities.
The Maldives National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has reported that 40 people from four households in Male have been relocated to temporary shelters due to flooding and sewage leakage.
To mitigate the impact of the flooding, the NDMA and the Local Government Ministry have arranged for the distribution of sandbags at the former Housing Ministry site.
A total of 13 pumps were installed in six locations in Male to drain floodwaters:

Children’s Park
As part of the response, 976 sandbags have been distributed, and assistance has been provided to 131 households.
Flooding has also been reported in several islands, including:
