Environment Ministry on Monday signed an agreement with the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) to expand waste collection services to 32 islands.
Minister Ibrahim Thoriq signed on behalf of the ministry, while WAMCO Managing Director Mujthaba Jaleel represented the company.

Under this agreement, WAMCO’s waste collection services will be introduced to the selected islands before the end of the year. This initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to establishing proper waste management facilities on every island.
