Parliament held only one sitting during the current open week, following the final 10 days of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr holidays.
No additional sittings have been scheduled for the remainder of the week.
The week began with a parliamentary sitting on Monday. However, no sessions were held on Tuesday or Wednesday, and none are scheduled for Thursday.

Although no sittings are scheduled for the remainder of the week, some parliamentary committees are continuing their work. The parliament has 18 standing committees, but only a few have scheduled meetings over these two days.

Independent Institutions Committee: To conduct an interview with former Hanimaadhoo MP Mohamed Mujthaz, nominated by President Mohamed Muizzu for appointment to the Civil Service Commission

Public Accounts Committee (Finance Committee): To consider matters submitted to the committee
The parliament secretariat has not issued a statement explaining the limited activity this week. The majority party in the parliament, the People’s National Congress (PNC), has not provided a comment.
