
President urges unity among Maldivians on Hajj Day

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has called on the people of the Maldives to strengthen their ties with one another in observance of the day of Hajj.
The President delivered the message Thursday from the grounds of Arafat, extending his greetings to Maldivians on the occasion.
In his video message, President Muizzu began by offering prayers for the blessings associated with the Hajj pilgrimage. He highlighted the importance of national unity and cooperation.
"In our hearts we are unity and we are friendship and solidarity among ourselves," the President said.
President Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed departed for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj last Friday. The First Lady is attending Hajj this year at the invitation of the Government of Saudi Arabia.
