The tender process for constructing the AEH Cath Lab began in September, and the facility was completed with staff training initiated in October. At the time, AEH stated that testing of equipment would take approximately one week, followed by two weeks of staff training.
Reports previously indicated that ADK Hospital had expressed interest in operating the Cath Lab. However, the facility has not been handed over to any operator in the past six years.
