
Parking temporarily prohibited at VIA for terminal opening
The parking ban applies to both the east and west side parking areas in preparation for the event scheduled to take place on 26th of this month.
Parking at Velana International Airport has been temporarily suspended in selected zones ahead of the opening ceremony of the new international passenger terminal.
The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) announced on Tuesday that the parking ban applies to both the east and west side parking areas in preparation for the event scheduled to take place on 26th of this month.
According to the announcement:

Four-wheeled vehicles will not be permitted to park in the east parking zone.

All vehicles are prohibited from parking in the west parking zone.
MACL has instructed vehicle owners to remove their vehicles from the restricted areas by Thursday. Vehicles that are not removed by the deadline will be towed with the assistance of the Maldives Police Service.
The reopening date for the parking zones will be announced at a later time.
