The Maldives Meteorological Service has issued a weather advisory forecasting strong westerly monsoon conditions over the next four days, with increased winds and rough seas expected, particularly from 20 July onwards.
According to the Met Office, the forecast includes:

Intensified winds, especially within cloud formations

Rough sea conditions, with coastal areas experiencing heightened turbulence
