A 49-year-old man arrested in connection with damage caused to the door of the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) camp on Chaandhanee Magu has been remanded in custody for 30 days.
The suspect has been identified as Mohamed Razeen.

According to a police statement issued on Wednesday, Razeen was initially released from custody on Saturday before being re-arrested on Sunday under a court order. He was later presented before the court, which ordered his detention for 30 days.
Police had earlier stated that an investigation into the incident was ongoing.
