The “Kolamaa” boat, which was reported missing after departing from Laamu Atoll on a trip to Huvadhu Atoll, was found near the Ekefaru area on Monday.
The police confirmed that the vessel was located at around 1:15pm. The captain was taken to Villingili Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The boat had departed Laamu Atoll at 10pm the previous night. Following reports that the vessel had gone missing, police requested public assistance to locate it.
