FDC begins key handover for Hulhumalé flats

The corporation stated that handovers will continue in phases, with recipients notified of their collection date via the FDC portal.

The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) on Sunday commenced the official handover of keys to flats developed in the second phase of Hulhumalé.

At a ceremony held at Aman Udhares Tower 14, FDC Managing Director Hamdhan Shakeel handed over the first keys to recipients. The corporation stated that handovers will continue in phases, with recipients notified of their collection date via the FDC portal.

FDC has also introduced a service to facilitate the delivery of large furniture items to the apartments. Bookings for this service can be made through the portal starting Monday, with delivery arrangements scheduled in allocated time slots.

The corporation confirmed that agreements with flat recipients have been signed, with down payments arranged through the portal.

According to FDC, the rent structure for the flats is as follows:

  • Two-bedroom apartments: MVR 7,000 monthly rent and MVR 1,000 for maintenance, with a down payment of MVR 15,000.

  • Three-bedroom apartments: MVR 9,000 monthly rent and MVR 1,500 for maintenance, totalling MVR 10,500 per month, with a down payment of MVR 25,000.

FDC is developing 32 towers under the Gedhoruveriya housing scheme in collaboration with two Indian companies and under Indian funding.
