66 national service participants begin technical training
A total of 350 students took part in the initial training phase of the programme, of whom 344 completed the course.
A group of 66 participants who completed the first phase of the Maldivian National Service programme have departed for B. Kihaadhoo to undertake technical training.

President Mohamed Muizzu said on Thursday that the Maldivian National Service programme was launched by the government to prepare young people for civic responsibilities.
He said that 66 youths who completed the initial phase have been selected to continue to the technical training stage.
According to the President, the participants are aged between 16 and 19 and come from 35 islands. The technical training will be conducted at a training centre operated by the Maldives National Defence Force in Kihaadhoo.
The participants will receive training in a range of technical fields as part of the programme.
