Husband arrested over woman's death; body set for post-mortem
Faisal is Nishama's husband. He went to Kulhudhuffushi Police Station and admitted to the crime on his own.

A man was arrested on Saturday in connection with the death of Nishama Mohammed, who was found dead in HDh. Nolhivaram.
Police have now decided to conduct a post-mortem on Nishama's body.
Nishama, 28, was reported dead to the police around 12.30pm. According to police, she was declared dead on arrival at the island's health centre.
While the police are now investigating the case, they said in a message to the media on Saturday evening:

Faisal is Nishama's husband. He went to HDh. Kulhudhuffushi Police Station and admitted to the crime on his own.
While Faisal is accused of the murder, Nishama's family members and neighbours who spoke to Atoll Times, as well as the people who of Fenfushi, say that he abuses his wife a lot.
Nishama's body has been taken to Kulhudhuffushi, police said. They added that they are trying to bring the body to the capital and send it abroad for post-mortem.
