Images shared on social media showed a vehicle belonging to Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) overturned at the scene.
Police said the vehicle was travelling from Hulhumalé towards the airport when it collided with a roadside fence.
Officers attended the scene following the incident.
Police said two individuals who were in the vehicle sustained injuries and were taken to hospital.
The extent of their injuries has not yet been confirmed.
