3 judges apply for High Court chief judge post
The vacancy arose following the appointment of Hussain Shaheed to the Supreme Court.
Three judges have applied for the position of Chief Judge of the High Court, according to information received.
The vacancy arose following the appointment of Hussain Shaheed to the Supreme Court. Judge Mohamed Faisal, who had been selected for the post by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), resigned prior to assuming the role.
The application period was reopened two weeks ago. Three candidates submitted applications before the deadline.
The applicants are:

The JSC has not yet made a decision on the appointment.
