Foreign national hospitalised after stabbing in Malé

A foreign national is undergoing treatment after sustaining injuries in a stabbing incident in Malé, police said on Saturday night.

The victim, a 38-year-old Bangladeshi man, was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) at approximately 1:08am following the attack.

Police said the incident occurred on Karanka Magu, where the victim sustained injuries to his neck.

In connection with the case, a 28-year-old Bangladeshi national, identified as Antar Mulla, was arrested on Saturday night under a court order.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
