According to the Maldives Police Service, officers attended the residence at about 9:53pm on Sunday after receiving reports that he had not been reachable for two days.
Police entered the house to carry out a welfare check and discovered his body inside.
Authorities said preliminary examinations found no visible signs of external injury.
Police confirmed that the case is under investigation.
