Ex-presidents appoint representatives for joint political movement
The appointments follow a meeting held on Friday night during which the three former leaders signed an agreement to work together.
Former presidents Mohamed Nasheed, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday appointed representatives to lead their joint political movement formed against the administration of President Mohamed Muizzu.
The appointments follow a meeting held on Friday night during which the three former leaders signed an agreement to work together on issues relating to press freedom, freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly.
During a press conference held after the meeting, the former presidents announced plans to establish a joint team representing all three leaders.
