President, first lady in Alifushi on official visit

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed departed Thursday morning on an official two-day visit to Alifushi Island in the Raa Atoll.
On Alifushi Island, they will attend the official function to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities for 2022.
During the visit, President Solih will meet with the Raa Atoll Council members, and the island council, and the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) of Alifushi Island. The president and the first lady will inaugurate the new multi-purpose hall built at the island’s school.
The first lady will also attend a community festival organised by the island council.
A senior delegation of the government is accompanying the president on the visit.
