Worker injured in 7th floor fall

The hospital's media official, Hawa Afeefa, told Atoll Times this evening that the injured man was being treated in emergency.

A man fell from the seventh floor of a building in Male Saturday after and is undergoing treatment.

A 25-year-old migrant worker got injured when he fell while installing an AC. He fell from the sevent floor of M.A. Elaavy.

A police spokesman told Atoll Times that the agency received information at 4.39 p.m. that a Bangladeshi man had fallen from the seventh floor of a house in Mahchangoalhi and sustained injuries.

"The victim is undergoing treatment at IGMH," the spokesperson said.

We are looking into the matter, he said.

The hospital's media official, Hawa Afeefa, told Atoll Times this evening that the injured man was being treated in emergency. She, however, refused to divulge further details about his health condition.

MNP's office is located in the Elaavy house building, which is owned by Rasheed Carpentry and  Construction (RCC), the family business of MNP president Mohamed Nazim.

An official of the company told Atoll Times that the migrant was not an employee of RCC but an employee of a company called iCOOL, which works in AC installation and maintenance, working there on a sub-contract basis.

The exact sequence of events is yet to be ascertained.
