Symbolic cash prizes were presented by Ensis Fisheries on Saturday, in recognition of the vessels that weighed the maximum number of fish last year with the company.
Since 2016, Ensis has been recognising fishermen like this annually to strengthen their relationship with the company.

In the name of 'Fishermen's Gift', the company hands out a cash prize to the boat that sells the maximum number of fish to them every year

Three vessels with the highest number of 'A grade' fish are also given separate cash gifts
A ceremony was held on Saturday to hand over the gifts. Speaking at the 21st anniversary celebrations of Ensis, managing director Abdul Wahid Thaufeeq congratulated the vessels that received the fishermen's gifts from Ensis.
Wahid said that in the future, Ensis will strive to provide a more convenient approach to fishermen by addressing the challenges in the services the company currently offers to the fishermen.
Ensis maintains that these awards and gifts will continue being handed over annually.
